We Are Like “Horton Hears A Who…”

We are like “Horton Hears A Who…”

Where we have to shout until we are heard as a marginalized group, because our issues do not apply to the majority who don’t see it because they don’t live it and have no reason to until brought to their attention then may act in solidarity to look for and bring attention to discriminatory practices in the workplace and society in general. Marginalized groups have to be heard by the majority who hold the power in order to effect change. Meanwhile we have to do our best to diversify all institutions, educate and uplift ourselves to empower ourselves economically and financially to reduce disparities through activism advocacy and access to equal privilege, not more, just the same opportunities and civil rights as anyone else… The promise of the American dream to all persons “life liberty and the pursuit of happiness” is all we ask…
